The pair unveiled a paper cutout of the vehicle, to the amusement of the Sharks. Daymond described the car as a “lunchbox” on wheels. They explained that the car can be plugged into any outlet, and a 4-hour charge can give the car a 100-mile range.
The car has a top speed of 50 miles per hour, and it is ideal for urban area commutes. Since the car runs on compressed air, it has very little noise and has zero pollution, making it ideal for cities.
Tucker explained that the car costs $3700 to $5100 to build, and it will be sold for $10,000, which impressed the Sharks.
However, while the car was set to disrupt the American market, the licensing deal restricted manufacturing and distributorship to Hawaii only, and the company had yet to secure licensing for the rest of the United States.

Based on an update posted by Zero Pollution Motors in September 2015, Herjavec’s deal with the company failed, despite the US Company facilitating a meeting with MDI to pursue US licensing.
Since Robert’s deal was contingent on the company securing manufacturing and distribution rights for all US states, and this was not accomplished, he opted to back out of the deal.
While Zero Pollution Motors cited delays from its European counterpart, MDI itself struggled to bring the air car to the market in Europe, and the vehicle has never entered mass production a decade later.
Is Zero Pollution Motors Still in Business?
As of 2025, Zero Pollution Motors appears to be out of business. Its website is outdated and inactive, and its official Facebook page has not been updated since September 2018.
